Sector experienceMinimum of 15 years of demonstrable relevant Food Security experience and/or minimum of 15 years of demonstrable relevant Health & Safety experience.
Geographical experienceMinimum of 15 year of experience in Africa (essential).
LanguageFluency in English is essential.

Job description

CTG OverviewCTG support and manage humanitarian projects in fragile and conflict-affected countries around the world. With past performance in 15 countries – from the Middle East, Africa, Europe, Asia and Central and South America – we offer a holistic fabric of project management, implementation and support. Skilled in emergency response to crises such as the Ebola outbreak in West Africa, we have the ability to act quickly (crisis response teams can be on the ground in 24 hours) and to establish structured operations in high-risk environments. CTG recruit and manage qualified, skilled teams with extensive experience operating in challenging conditions.
Overview of position
Role objectives
To lead and/or manage the generation of the VAM evidence base that supports food security and nutrition policies and programmes (e.g. needs assessment and situation analyses, programme design, targeting, cost effectiveness, and operational efficiency).
Project reporting
Key competenciesLanguage:
Fluency (level C) in English language. Intermediate knowledge (level B) of a second official UN language: Arabic, Chinese, French,
Russian, Spanish, and/or Our Client working language, Portuguese. Ability to work in a team

Minimum Experience ( 10 — 15 years)
•Developed a high-performing team and managed vulnerability analysis exercises including emergency assessments at country level Use knowledge of country and cultural context in assessing food availability, access and utilization, and exposure to risks.
•Has established food security and vulnerability monitoring systems
•Has led surveys, multiple assessments in countries, including the design, data collection and analysis
